A wonderful big Belgian-esque berg based bike ride around the concrete farm tracks, bridleways and steep climbs of the Surrey Hills with the club today. Conquered a particularly steep off road climb I've gone up twice and walked twice. 238w for 8 minutes. Which was nice.

@Pionir mmm. Interesting. Any chance of a pointer to the route. Just about to switch to my 40mm gravel tyre and need some new routes I can get to for a day

@MatthewNewell

We went Cobham -> Plough Lane -> Pointers Lane (old abandoned A25) as it offered a backtrack option to the clacks tower on Chatley Heath. In the end we went up the hill (photo) to the Redhill Bridge (over the A3 to the north). The fence was ajar, so presumably *cough* open, and from there down to the bridge over the M25 to the west, then over Wisley common to the Heathland bridge (over the A3 to the south) before stopping at Ockham bites.

@MatthewNewell

Just be aware the route on Komoot has weird routing around J10 as it didn't like routing over the northern bridge

@Pionir

Noted. Thnx. I will probably import reroute in Ride with GPS . I like to go through route myself as I remember it so much better if I have mapped it myself.

I lived in Cobham for a couple of months - nice area . Mad for cycling which is always lovely

@MatthewNewell there's also supposed to be a cycle way being built from Cobham to the Redhill Bridge and on to Wisley. Not sure on progress of that though.

@Pionir

If you build it they will ride. Hopefully the council etc will get it done
