senI love that they still add fake Quindar tones to the CAPCOM transmissions just because everyone’s used to it and they ended up being useful outside of their original use case.
Calvin Gluck@sen I also love that they still use those quindar tone sounds, even though they are no longer necessary in the modern digital communication systems. In amateur radio, we sometimes use that sound as the “courtesy tone” on repeater systems to indicate when the squelch opens and closes. It brings a smile to my face every time I hear it. :)
