Malcolm Nance, a former U.S. intelligence officer and former senior U.S. Navy officer: Shooting down an F-15 at high altitude is bad news, but this A-10 Warthog is a sign of worse. It is the toughest low-altitude attack aircraft we have.

If an Iranian shoulder-launched missile hit this aircraft, then our conventional helicopters and Marine tiltrotor helicopters would be at very high risk if we were to attack the islands in the Strait of Hormuz.

@faab64 they should let them land and unload, but not leave

@stonykark I don't think they will land in mainland Iran, if they do, it will be on one of the islands, either Khark, to cut off Iran's oil export, Abu Mousa, to help UAE to take over the island and target IRGC close to strait of Hormuz or something even more crazy, the large Islands like Qeshm, or Hormuzgan by the strait of Hormuz which means it will be a bloodbath, for the Americans, Iranian military and IRGC as well as the 100s of thousands of people living there.

There is no good scenario. This can only go from bad to much much worse
