This is an Unusual and Very Good Photo! The Score: Subject 10, Compo 10, Execution 9+ = 29+ out of a perfect 30! The slight rotation is merely technical, and not significant to the overall quality: "Vertical lines that aren't plumb create subconscious unease (loss of gravitational reference)." This photo might do quite well in a juried show. -Phil
Phil, you're the only jury necessary!
Thank you so much! πŸ«‚ That's really kind of you! ☺️ I see what you mean about the lines, I'll try to bear that in mind for the next time. I've been so focused on making sure that everything is as straight and as stabilized as can be (I have shaky hands and no ibis πŸ˜‚), that I didn't even think about making it a little off kilter. Thank you for the tip! β™₯️ Oh, while I have you, if you don't mind? I was just out earlier trying to take pictures of bees and I noticed that my autofocus seems to not like fast movement so a lot of the pictures didn't focus in the right place. Would you happen to have any tips for this? Thank you so much in advance! ✨
Oh, if you're wondering who @phenderson57 is and why he's commenting, 1) He's a big of you (we both are in the house) and 2) he's my partner - he's not a random weirdo! πŸ˜‚βœ¨
Big fan* Sorry, brain was going faster than the fingers πŸ˜‚
