Really, at the time, there was nothing special about it. It's just a well-framed photo with a bunch of newspaper vending machines. Or whatever those things are called...

Only in hindsight, do these things become a time capsule. What was once mundane now evokes a sense of curiosity and nostalgia.

There are many things like this that have passed me by that I wish I had the foresight to have taken pictures of.

@Judeau Still true today, people rarely take picture of boring, mundane things in their daily life and we only notice when these things have been replaced or sometimes - after they are gone, because no one uses phone booths, newspapers or drop boxes anymore. Would make some interesting photography project!
