Since @uncoolmouse has been slacking lately ๐Ÿ˜‰ I decided to contribute to #CityPopSaturdays.

It's been some time since this hashtag was last used & who better to bring it back than Mai Yamane.

She released many albums before blessing the #CowboyBebop soundtrack with her vocals. This track is from her 1981 album, 'Sorry'.

I really enjoy this song but the keyboard solo makes me love it. It really gives me Motoaki Takenouchi vibes, which is never a bad thing.

@Judeau also, I love this song and so much of Yamane's work! She's one of the best at bridging City Pop and Jazz Fusion!

@uncoolmouse she definitely has a lot of good stuff. I think that's what I like about City Pop in general. Most of what I have heard Is like a magical mix of funk, jazz, pop etc.

@uncoolmouse Haha! It's all good. No pressure. My podcast backlog is a mile deep. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Unfortunately I'm not well versed in City pop. It just so happened that I was on a Cowboy Bebop kick and decided to look into her older material and found some gems like this one.

I'll definitely try to find some other stuff to post in the future though. ๐Ÿ‘
