Stuck in my head all morning.
I just got finished with the live action adaptation of #cowboybebop (from Netflix) and I rather enjoyed it!
Wins: The main characters (Spike, Faye, Jet) are a set of superb casting choices and spot on acting.
The visual style makes me grin (That intro sequence... <3) with CG that seems subtle/not out of place
The music is pulled right from the original work (I personally love the original anime and #YokoKanno's work on that).
Losses: Writing had some weak points and not enough time was given to flesh out certain bits/characters.
Some of the action/fighting sequences didn't quite hit their mark.
But as a whole it's a fun romp which I consider a strong homage to the original material. Too bad it wasn't well enough received to continue, but hey, I'm glad it got made!
