a/k/a ginger 🍵...🎶🌻My mind and ears have gone on a journey this a.m. I think it started with thinking about TV shows I watched, growing up, that had musical guests. Then I found that Wikipedia lists all the guests that were on The Midnight Special, 1972 - 1981.
(That led me to watch several different performances, including less than a minute of Mac Davis "Baby, Don't Get Hooked on Me." I couldn't stomach more than that... remembering how much my sister and I cringed when our mother said she thought he was sexy. Aagghh! That was the kiss of death for him, though we might have hated him anyway.)
I'm linking to this song because I really loved this album, and it's fun to see Ric Ocasek. (Note that at 2:28, some guy in white appears on the stage; I was, like, who is that? And I realize it's a camera operator. Part of the relaxed late 70s vibe?)
