This afternoon I continued my hike on the #GR5. In my 21st section, I went from Bolderberg to Bokrijk for a pleasant distance of 18,7 km. The first part of the hike came along the famous Herkenrode Abbey, and then it continued to the nature domain of Kiewit, where the route managed to find some quiet paths in the otherwise busy park. Next time I continue to Zutendaal. Maastricht is getting closer!

Bonus: Limburg is trying to become the bicycle paradise of the world, and you need attractions for that. I happened to come past one of those: “Fietsen door het water”, and people are really flocking up!

@h5e no, it isn’t floating and the water level is being controlled by a large system of ponds so that it doesn’t flood.

@h5e the other famous one, “Fietsen door de mijnterrils” in Terhills Maasmechelen is floating afaik.

In the Netherlands there is a miniature version in Anna’s Hoeve near Hilversum.
