This #spring in #Oulu has not been the usual zigzagging. After the winter's cold snap ended, temperatures have stayed steadily between +0 and +7 °C, with warmer days being cloudy and clear days colder.

Today, for the first time, it’s been clear and +9 °C, and that brought the earliest #butterflies I’ve ever photographed. The first one a mourning cloak, no less—a species that's never before been the very first; usually not even among the first three.
