As American non-college income share declines the most vulnerable are pushed to the streets. Perhaps because support networks collapse. On the streets fentanyl use is arguably rational.

The homelessness rate spiked in #MontgomeryCounty #Maryland this past year, based on stats from the executive during his operating budget presentation, and I am starting to see posts complaining / expressing concern about people experiencing homelessness living in area bus stops on the county reddit.
Why would fentanyl use be rational? I don't quite get your point there.
