The homelessness rate spiked in #MontgomeryCounty #Maryland this past year, based on stats from the executive during his operating budget presentation, and I am starting to see posts complaining / expressing concern about people experiencing homelessness living in area bus stops on the county reddit.

It has a mandate to sustain its own costs through the county Housing Production Fund, which is supposed to stay level from year to year through repayments on the loans it makes, but is supposed to be non-profit. I think there are also other cities in the #USA that have been pursuing this.
