@jgordon Good quantitative benchmark of #homelessness deaths, compared to homicide. A factor of 10 difference.

The homelessness rate spiked in #MontgomeryCounty #Maryland this past year, based on stats from the executive during his operating budget presentation, and I am starting to see posts complaining / expressing concern about people experiencing homelessness living in area bus stops on the county reddit.

Why would fentanyl use be rational? I don't quite get your point there.

Why it matters:

School closures shrink choices for families and hit students first. Fixing compliance is practical — letting a viable option die because of slow board action is absurd.
