Been comparing Claude to Codex using Codea's updated Air Code feature (out soon)
First prompt:
"I'm running Codea on my phone right now. Create a beautiful bezier curve editor tool on it."
Claude left / Codex right
Second prompt:
"I'm running Codea on my phone right now. Create a beautiful particle system editor on it."
Claude left / Codex right
Notes:
Codex chooses weirdly grandiose names, "Bezier Studio" and "Particle Atelier" (seriously??). Claude just went with "Bezier Editor" and "Particle Editor"
Codex always tried to find an existing project on the device before starting. Claude didn't
Codex has a weird obsession with adding low-opacity circles into the background for visual interest (I've had this happen so often)
Codex puts the title of the app into the app itself, every time
