There's some cool nostalgia here. In the 1980s, INPUT magazine had a series of articles about drawing 3D wireframe graphics in BASIC on the various 8-bit machines it covered. I remember a wireframe torus in the artwork. I'll have to dig it out again to see how deeply it went.
