There goes that damn bell again
emanating from
my soon to be mortal soul

A forewarning daily
that #rings for me
and all oblivious humanity

Despite my creative
muffling denial deflections
the sonic torture won't go away

Now the advancing shadows
are beneath my weary feet
ready to complete the mission
to drop my sorry ass
into the cavern of darkness

Not sure if this is the absolute end
or a portal to the eternal afterlife
