Patch ArcanaTIL that with the right refractory ceramics you can melt glass in the fucking microwave.
This shouldn't surprise me because my microwave is rated TWO FUCKING KILOWATTS but it's not intuitive.
(I still don't have a good intuition for thermal power like I know roughly what a watt, a joule, and a horsepower are kinetically but once heat gets involved s'all black magic fuckery.)
Rycochet@patcharcana If you don't care about the health of the microwave, you can make artificial rubies with them, even generate balls of plasma.
