@davidgerard "For entertainment purposes only." in that case, take that shit out of my BUSINESS applications.

@davidgerard

Your first thought was probably correct. Creating a new project and putting the abject failure in charge of it is SOP for Microsoft dealing with people who it would be expensive / embarrassing to fire for incompetence after enabling them in their incompetence for a long time. Over time, the new group will gradually have its headcount reduced until the lead uses his current leadership position to swing a better-paid job at Google or AWS, where he can then cause damage to competitors’ efforts.

@david_chisnall oh sure, but he's *also* bought the line. this turned out to be a much wilder story than I was expecting.
@davidgerard I thought the Claude Code leak already showed us the solution to the evil superintelligence: you just check its sentiment with regex.

@davidgerard "For entertainment purposes only" is what Tarot Readers and Astrologists put up as disclaimers to avoid being sued for fraud

Makes you wonder if their legal team is concerned

@davidgerard When I heard about the Claude Code leak my immediate thought was: I wonder if they’re using “agentic AI” to handle their release process, and it decided to release a debug build? If so, the whole thing is even more hilarious.
