Unfortunately, 99% of the folks who are #noai have never used Ai properly.

Ai is here to stay.
Even if there is a crash
Even if there is a Luddite uprising

Ai is here to stay simply because it is so damn useful.

There is one thing that #capitalism always delivers.
If they can spend $1000000 on a machine that will dispense with a $50000 job. They will always.
Always spend on the machine.

@n_dimension some of what you say is true, but there's a growing set of things that give me hope. here's an incomplete strict subset:

1) the gods of capitalism can & do bleed.

2) accelerator chips are very, very breakable, and their manufacture, import, & export are all choke-points for effective regulation. International coƶperation may help.

3) big money hasn't _always_ defeated morality.

please note, i am not interested in debate, and i am not interested in arguments about usefulness.
