More #toronto #realestate madness - this one is actually not bad, and again at the Shangri La for some reason, it’s just…. ELEVEN MILLION DOLLARS and a lot of glass

Rich people. Imagine having 11M in your life.

@catzilla only $11M for a condo.

@mayintoronto Only 11M for a condo.

Someone here was shocked when I said condos going for less than 500k were a good thing. Yeah this is Toronto condo prices have no self control.

@catzilla @mayintoronto What sort of puzzles me about these really expensive condos is that you can get a lot of house for that kind of money (or less). Clearly these are aimed at people who really, really want to live downtown in a swank condo and won't accept, say, this $8.2 million modern house in a fairly nice location:

@cks @mayintoronto As someone just desperately moving away from the suburb, I absolutely get why someone would not buy the house. I am counting the days to get rid of mine and move into a much smaller downtown space.

My issue is just how insanely expensive these things are.

@catzilla @mayintoronto I agree with the appeal of condos overall. Maybe I'm mostly boggled by how little they seem to get for their $11M (but that listing sure was proud of that big empty living room space).
