After whatever this week was, the universe and UPS delivered my Xteink X4 by the time I got home tonight.

It's super tiny and the firmware is really bad, but I updated it and it feels way more usable now.

I'm definitely going to find an alternative firmware to see if there's a better way to sync files to it. I thought maybe it'd mount as a drive but nope. I had to direct connect to it like a hot spot just to upload one file at a time. Going to fix that next.

I stumbled on Crosspoint Reader firmware and it's much nicer and it only took a few minutes to flash it and upload books to it.

I haven't found a real sync yet, but I suspect I poke around and figure something out.

@webology I have sync working from calibe-web-automated (though I want to replace it with booklore at some point). I made it harder than it needed to be because I want cwa behind Tailscale so needed to connect the dots with a funnel server, but it works a treat. I can walk you through it some time if you want.
@jacob Sounds like a cool setup. I can't connect to wifi reliably enough to get much use out of sync yet. If I can figure that out, I might take you up on it.
@webology I put CrossPoint on mine. It's not bad.

@hober Thank you for the tip. I stumbled on it on YouTube, and it seems night-and-day better.

Not sure if there's a better sync experience but I'm going to poke around and see.
