Just throwing this out there for non-religious people who often seem confused by certain current events:
American evangelicals nearly universally have zero interest in what a pope has to say on a subject. By and large, they give the Pope's opinion the same weight as, say, the Dalai Lama's, which is to say, none whatsoever.
I mention this because I see things like "Trump says X but the pope says Y. How will his base react?" His base couldn't care less.
yup. nazi/kkk put everyone other than a narrow group of evangelical christian faiths all in the same bucket. catholics, muslims, jews, satanists. all the same to them.
@aaron @paul_ipv6 Yep. And I only bring all this all up because a lot of people who aren't evangelical or catholic seem to think the 2 sects overlap, when they don't at all.
