I have a "Fresh Pass" with Safeway - for $35/year we get free delivery, perfect for our needs.

Placed an order yesterday that never arrived, called the help number and got the *NEW* Safeway AI assistant. After going in circles for five minutes, I finally managed to be switched to a person.

She asked how she could help me, and I told her the AI assistant was just awful. She sighed deeply and said "Sir, everyone who calls tells me the same thing..." 🤦‍♂️

@jkirkendall I feel you, and I feel for that Safeway gal. Ugh. I'm so tired of the AI baloney on the telephones. On the flipside, I really love grocery delivery and/or pickup, it saves me so much time for things I'd rather be doing anyway.
