Sitting on trains is about 10,000x better than sitting on buses, discuss.

@timrichards Agreed. Catching one to Paris tomorrow.
@timrichards There's something different about bus air. And seating, somehow
@HaTetsu It's the seating I think. Stuck in one place, whereas on a train you can move around to a certain degree.
@timrichards Yeah, being stuck in tight rows with a narrow aisle in the middle, possibly also jumping around on hills and poorly-maintained roads…
@timrichards both are superior to jumbo jets too.
@timrichards just steel wheels on rails, all the other noise and bustle is up at the front
@timrichards Trains every day - no motion sickness
@perkinsy @timrichards This is the train line that runs below Bonos house. I can't remember where it is but its on that hill, so is Enya's
@perkinsy Yes good point, much more steady a run
@timrichards I had to catch a replacement bus recently. They gave away free fudge at the bus stop (they know how much people hate replacement buses). I foolishly ate it then sat on the diesel bus that was vibrating awfully through the seats while idling. Fumes did not help. Yuck.

@timrichards

Depends on the bus & the route. Took the bus from Apollo Bay to Lorne once. Spectacular.

And the local bus from Positano to Amalfi, crowded, standing, which was interesting on that tight road! One woman was trying to find Maria. Next thing, everyone was asking everyone else if they were Maria. Hysterical.
