This morning's Edinburgh sunrise #timelapse, at one minute per second. It takes a while to get going, so I thought about speeding it up, but there's a lot going on once it does! Can anyone explain clearly what's happening when clouds keep forming in one place even though the droplets are moving?

Another hour/minute Edinburgh sunrise #timelapse. Bit of a weird one today - lots of grey clouds, but if you keep watching, golden orange breaks through surprisingly later on.

This morning's sunrise timelapse good at five minutes per second.
This morning's Edinburgh sunrise at one minute per second. Windy morning! #timelapse, no sound.

Late-February sunrise, at 1 minute per second. Only 12 minutes, during which the dawn colours faded completely. I probably should've gone for 10 seconds per second today, given how windy it is!
Nineteen minutes of sunset at two minutes per second.
This evening's #timelapse: 42 minutes of dusk, at two minutes per second.

First #timelapse in a while: a stormy afternoon in Edinburgh. 1 minute per second, no sound.
I love a good roiling cumulus. 1 minute per second, approaching sunset yesterday. #timelapse #clouds #convection #Edinburgh
I caught this evening's sunset with a #timelapse. This one's funny because it looks like it's all over about halfway through, but after another 15 seconds or so the colours of dusk come rushing in...
The evening of the day after summer solstice in Edinburgh. 1 min/sec, 20:45-21:46. Silent video of a southeast view from Corstorphine. #timelapse
The sky above is yesterday. 10× #timelapse #Cumulus
A mild Edinburgh afternoon at 2 minutes per second.
More active skies from a couple of weeks ago. #timelapse #clouds #Edinburgh
Low-flying clouds, very active and surprisingly colourful.
A lot of layers to this windy afternoon's cloud timelapse! One minute per second.
Sunset #timelapse on Bornholm, Denmark.
I think this is probably the best timelapse film I've ever made. The convection in the Cumulus congestus at the start is particularly pleasing to me, but the rain lit by sunset light is also wonderful, and I like the clouds condensing and evaporating in the afterglow, once the sun has gone down.
Another gorgeous a timelapse! I think my favourite bit is about 35 seconds in, where you can see the rays of sunlight breaking through clouds, selectively illuminating rain. Watch out for a sundog near the end, as well! 1 minute per second. #Edinburgh.
More timelapse, from around sunset.
Nine minutes/seconds of timelapse clouds over Edinburgh. It would have been longer, but it stopped recording when I got a notification or something! 😞
There's really a lot of weather going on out there! #stormAmy #timelapse
South view from West Edinburgh, on an autumn morning. 1 minute per second. Warning: so many small clouds pass briefly in front of the sun that the flickering might be a problem for some viewers.
Sunset really doesn't mess around, at this latitude and this time of year. 18 minutes from brightest colours to full night time. 18 seconds of timelapse.
Yesterday's sunset at 2 minutes per second. #Edinburgh #timelapse
Early morning, clouds going south, sunlight heading west. 1 minute per second.
Sunset. 1 min/s.
Clouds after sunrise, at 1 minute per second. The constant creation of clouds in a particular region of space is especially striking in this one. It looks like it's centered on the church spire, but that's *probably* a meaningless coincidence.
This morning's Edinburgh sunrise, at four minutes per second (240× speed).
Sometimes Edinburgh feels like a city in the clouds. Here are today's, at five minutes per second.
This morning's Edinburgh sunrise timelapse is mostly about the crepuscular rays, where clouds partially block the sunlight, leaving long beams through the haze. One minute per second, although I accidentally filmed it at 10× and had to speed it up.
An hour of this morning's sunrise, at two minutes per second. This is a good one.
I only had time for a few minutes of timelapse through my kitchen window (hence the smudges) but it seemed worth it for the crepuscular rays.
First sunset of 2026! #timelapse
Pretty good sunrise this morning! 30 minutes/30 seconds.
This morning in Edinburgh. 1min/sec #timelapse.
