They make it a business to perform research on aborted babies in the United States. They say it is "legal" to chop up the unborn for filthy lucre. If it were a #Christian nation, would they actually believe that the God of the living consents to this barbaric practice?

Repent. #Jesus returns and his reward is with him, to give every man according as his works shall be.

@Earl The god of the bible instructs people on how to perform abortions to test for infidelity, with no age limit for the fetus and no consent from the mother. (Numbers 5:19-22)

the god of the bible instructs the Jews to sacrifice all of their first born sons on the altar, with large portions of the old testament trying to remedy this most barbaric of all practices. (Exodus 13:2)

What that god doesn't ask, is for us to not perform experiments on the dead to further science.

@Ntropic
God did not command Jews to sacrifice the firstborn, but to sanctify them.... to live and not to die.

There was a test for a wife suspected of adultery by her husband. If he had no other evidence, and she would not confess, then he could take her to a priest to test her before God. If the woman was innocent, she suffered no harm from drinking the bitter water. If she was guilty, her thigh would rot and her belly would swell. There is no mention of abortion.

@Earl Numbers 4:22 specifically explains that she would miscarry: "May this water that brings a curse enter your body so that your abdomen swells or your womb miscarries". The thigh and miscarriage are written the same in Hebrew, but as always in biblical scholarship there is a lot of research on it: https://www.sefaria.org/Numbers.5.21?lang=bi&with=Commentary&lang2=en

see how thigh actually means miscarry, here expert commentary of the hebrew original text.

Numbers 5:21 | Sefaria Library

here the priest shall administer the curse of adjuration to the woman, as the priest goes on to say to the woman—“may GOD make you a curse and an imprecation...

@Ntropic
According to God, through the words of Jesus, the only just reason for divorce is a wife's sexuality with another that is not her husband. If a God-fearing man cannot know for certain if the wife is guilty of adultery, then he cannot get a divorce. That was the purpose of the wife drinking the bitter water before the priest. If she would tell the truth, she could avoid any possible miscarriage from the curse, because they could simply divorce.
@Earl Giving somebody something that would cause an abortion is causing an abortion. Also this is no different from 17th century witch trial tests. Absolute biblical nonsense.
@Ntropic
It is not the same. Witches do not voluntarily take tests that could harm them, do they?
