Nice to see a mostly positive post about salvaging a perfectly good Lenovo ThinkPad laptop using @linuxmint and how helpful it is.

But instead of lamenting about some of the drawbacks, it would be nice to hear about all of the Windows crapware & Copilot users will be avoiding by using Linux.

@pabloniusmonk @linuxmint @steviebonifield @stevie_bonifield Linux on hardware that is several "generations" old is still a viable workstation. Linux on hardware many many generations old is still viable server.

There are no drawbacks.
