There is an ongoing #search and #rescue mission for two crew members on a fighter #jet that crashed in southern #Iran, according to the Washington Post. This is the first time a U.S. aircraft has gone down in enemy territory since the start of the war on February 28.

As of now, the fate of the #crew is not known.
The U.S. has lost three other F-15s before this incident when three jets went down over #Kuwait on March 1 due to a “friendly fire incident.” In that instance, all crew members safely ejected and survived.
