The Ghost Monk
I've always found this painting of Mary I faintly disturbing, as if she's just about holding onto sanity. I'd expect Bloody Mary to appear more in #folklore She haunts Sawston Hall, #Cambridgeshire, where she escaped a murderous plot, but she has to share it with many other ghosts. #PhantomsFriday

The other ghosts, incidentally, include a grey lady, the sound of a spinet playing, something invisible which lifts door latches and various mysterious sounds. The Tapestry Room and the Panelled Room are especially haunted.
