I've got something like 10 weeks to find and read 9 more good queer books for June's queer books for pride.

No pressure. 😬

@gairdeachas If you want some recent recs:

Sharang Biswas’s The Iron Below Remembers is probably my favorite queer sf novella from last year: a cute queer archaeologist with a famous horny superhero boyfriend in an alt-history where it was India that had a world empire

Sam J Miller Red Star Hustle, short space opera about a gay hustler/spy who has information that he shouldn’t have

Automatic Noodle by Annalee Newitz — my other favorite queer sf novella, a bunch of robots secretly take over a noodle shop ghost kitchen in a San Francisco a few years after California fought a successful war of independence against the federal government

A Mourning Coat by Alex Jeffers — gorgeous little queer novella about a grieving son who decides to make a coat in honor of his late father

Wearing the Lion by John Wiswell — loved this re-imagining of the relationship between Heracles and Hera (but I’m a classics nerd)

@PlinyTheOlder Fantastic, thank you for those! The first two are totally my jam and I've added them to my to-read list.

I read Automatic Noodle earlier this year. TBH I wanted more from it than it gave me.

A Mourning Coat sounds really interesting but I tend to avoid father-centric books due to some family trauma. I'll have to figure out if I'm up for that one at some point.

Appreciate the recs, thank you!

@gairdeachas looking forward to your final list. (I also read Blair Fell’s Disco Witches and enjoyed it)
