I’m currently in a training session at $WORK and the trainer told us the following statement : it seems RMS (Stallman) said that we don’t need journals anymore and we should use ext2, since we can ensure data recovery with other ways. This was posted using another pseudonym claiming it was him, but I found nothing on the Web, so I’m dubious

Does someone know more about it ? #factchecking #rms #ext2

@vinishor rms has never shied away from saying batshit-crazy (and horrible-horrible) things under his own name, so the fact that the only evidence is someone claiming to use a pseudonym is highly suspicious.

I call bullshit.

@phessler Yeah same, I had the opportunity to meet him at St Etienne in 2017 for a conference, so I confirm this.
Also, it's easy to claim to be someone else on the Internet, so I was really dubious about this claim.
