But she didn’t really teach me my worth.
And honestly, it’s because she was still learning hers.
So when I went out into the world,
I knew how to endure… but I didn’t know how to value myself.
I knew survival.
Not confidence.
So when life started lifing—
the cheating,

the bullying, the disappointments…
I knew how to keep going. I knew how to endure.
Because that’s what I was raised to do.
But nobody ever talked about the damage that does.
Nobody talks about how being “the strong one”
can have you staying in things you should’ve walked away

Because if I’m honest…
when you teach a girl to survive before she knows her worth,
she will endure almost anything.
And that’s the problem.
We’re teaching resilience
before we teach self-worth.
And strength will keep you going…
but confidence?
Confidence would’ve told you that you deserved better.
