Clearing out my loft, preparatory to moving house, I found my The One Kerala Trance binary watch. This morning I found I have all the tools needed to replace the battery, and even a spare battery ๐Ÿ™‚
@zygous I love this! ๐Ÿ˜Š
@zygous Just had a look on eBay. Woah! They're pretty expensive.

@druid So they are! Mine was ยฃ85 from Amazon in 2010, and was a gift. I know The One company isnโ€™t around any more, so thatโ€™s one reason itโ€™s appreciated.

I plan to wear it regularly again now, not least to get my eye in again to read it quickly ๐Ÿ˜…

@zygous I wrote a little desktop app version years ago. It had seconds too so looked quite nice ticking away. It could be resized to have them on one line with no gaps between, just to make it even more unintelligible. ๐Ÿ˜Š
@druid Nice! I also have one of these, which is really bright: https://www.getdigital.co.uk/products/binaeruhr
That's even older than my watch, and I certainly didn't pay ยฃ90 for it. It's not the prettiest implementation, but it does have "easy" and "hard" modes. Easy is columnar HH:MM:SS and Hard is row-based, like the watch, but with seconds. You're right that adding seconds makes it a joy to watch.
