Can I just vent for a second? I feel like modern appreciation for stories, especially related to romance #fiction, is to embrace toxic relationships. Sure, the "OMG, she/he is so hot" can be funny to say. However, I feel like this encourages creators to pump out stories where all a character needs to be is hot and plot is forgotten. Kind of reminds me how #otome love interests can be boiled down to tropes instead of feeling relatable (human). But hey, it's just fiction, right?
