This little bird is a Silvereye, which used to be common in Melbourne gardens. I haven’t seen one for several years - another quiet sign of Climate Change and our destruction of our living world.

@Iveyline @gpnaturephotos Yes, there are also heaps of silvereyes down here in Ōtautahi-Christchurch. They're one of our city's most common birds, especially in the city's hills.

It's interesting that you've noticed a decline in Melbourne as they've not declined here.

@joncounts @Iveyline Melbourne has a population greater than the whole of New Zealand - think that might be the problem! Loved that big park in the centre of Christchurch last time I was there.
