why do we say eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, etc instead of tenty-one, tenty-two, tenty-three, tenty-four :3

@livingshredder probably because it sounds too similar to twenty. So they should have just called that twoty instead

But twoty can sound like thirty in some accents!

So we make it three-ty.
