@mainframed767 I was wondering recently what do they do all day on Star Trek. They seem grossly overstaffed. Sure it seems busy when there are klingons on the starboard bow but the rest of the star dates? Does Scotty have engineering problems enough to keep him busy? Bones could feasibly have a pretty busy surgery modern meds notwithstanding, but the rest of them? Navigation doesn't seem that difficult, it seems all mostly automated. There could be quite a lot of going boldly without incident.
