@greenpeace @andrew773 Instead of a wealth tax which would be a practical nightmare to enforce we should get rid of step up basis at death and long term capital gains rates. If you get money, that's income and we tax it as income.

@jcriecke @greenpeace Would it real be that hard? There are allegedly around 1000 billionaires who should be the primary target. It wouldn't be that expensive to have an IRS specialist for each of them.

@andrew773 @greenpeace fair, but it would be much easier to change the laws I mentioned and they would apply to everyone equally
