@maleve Carney is a textbook 1980s Progressive Conservative who would have been completely at home in Mulroney’s cabinet. But the Overton window has shifted so far to the right that he looks like a liberal compared to the current crop of fascists calling themselves Conservatives. Ford is a monstrously corrupt criminal, but he’s also a pragmatist, not an ideologue (as drug dealers often are). He’d rather have Carney in power, providing predictable stability, than have to deal with whatever chaos Poilievre’s crew would unleash. #cdnpoli #onpoli
