Renfe having left aside High-Speed on France is a chance for European Sleeper project of connection between Paris and Barcelona. This year, ES finally decided to launch the Brussels-Milan route. Let's hope 2027 will be the turn for Paris-Barcelona.

Let's hope they also think in providing a new Shanghai (Barcelona-Vigo night train, left by Renfe too), and then, maybe a Vigo-Lisbon.

@IGVazquez I’d say even with Renfe they would still have had a market. The problem is one of making it happen, because SNCF is not the friendliest to work with, and the following stock & locomotive issues (Vectron still isn’t approved in France afaik)
@Sobex Indeed, I assumed the big thing that SNCF would allow. I believe ES told when the 2026 new line was not decided (or at least made public) yet, that they were not going to have issues to circulate through France. But they might have....
