Do any of you know who Parkland Corporation is/was?

Early last fall I contacted #MP Jeff Kibble, #CPC about a pending take-over by #Sunoco, LP, a #Texas-based #oil-company-turned- #CorporateRaider. I asked my MP to oppose this takeover, the details of which basically come down to: borrow $2.65B USD, give the money to shareholders, watch it implode and roast marshmallows.

He did nothing.

Most everyone in #Canada will feel the effects of this take-over. #BC, obviously, as they now own all gasoline and diesel refining, pipelines, and terminals in the province. They are now the largest 'independent' fuel distributor in North America.

Look at fuel prices in North America since last October. Sunoco is the largest single beneficiary of the price rises.

And my MP did **nothing**, over the 7 months since.

Conicidentally, M Carney passed a budget a couple weeks later.
