Explanation: Antisemitism was actually extremely widespread in Western countries before WW2, including in the nations of the Allies. While the discovery of the Holocaust led to massive backlash against antisemitism as a norm, it was… not always accompanied by suitable reflection on the history of antisemitism or where its roots lay in one’s own country.

Most people are unaware that during the period when the nazis still allowed Jews to leave most all “western” countries either denied them or had immigration levels set very very low.

And then they formed Israel and that country just treated everyone like the jews were treated by Hitler because apparently committing genocide is okay as long as your great great grand parents were a victim of genocide.

I have nothing against Jews, I have nothing per se against Israel as a state

I do have a huge problem.with the plain aggression against it’s neighbors and pretty much the entire fucking world, that Israel has displayed literally since it’s founding

I have a huge problem with the child murder machine capped IDF that had been busy murdering innocent Palestinians since at least the 1980s, where I was old enough to remember seeing these murders on the news on a weekly basis

I have a gigantic problem with the genocidal actions perpetrated by Israel against Palestinians and I guess now it’s Lebanon’s turn

Israel is evil. I’m not saying this because of religious motivations, or because of nonsense hatred. I’m saying this because Israel is not only perpetrating genocide and war crimes since a long time, it’s doing do out in the open for everyone to see, and whenever anyone tries to object, they immediately go for the Holocaust and antisemitism to deflect legic criticism on horrific crimes.

So Jews are humans,and generally, humans are awesome, so of course so are Jews.

But Israel? The IDF? Fuck all of that.
