Interestingly I worked on codebases which were bad, so bad that I still tell stories about them, but none were as bad as that. I couldn't understand why FOSS developers would be so eager to become dependent on an expensive closed-source tool, but still doing so given what we know now about that codebase is irresponsible.

@gabrielesvelto I have worked with some incredibly bad codebases. Just absolutely awful.

I mean, they were my codebases, but I worked with them.

@gabrielesvelto at this point, I feel there probably are a large number of "software developers" who will lose their jobs to AI, and deservedly so.
