@PhoenixSerenity I've been asked about it in interviews and on application forms a couple of times. Was told it was "unusual" for me not to have it, but I don't think it ever prevented me from getting a position. Def not planning on signing up any time soon!

@cybervegan I've never been asked about it but I haven't really had to apply or be interviewed much. I've been headhunted & offered jobs for past 25 years.

I still get offered job opportunities, out of the blue, about once every couple of months. They're offered by people who I have met while out & about working & volunteering in the community.
I'm lucky in that regard & do count those blessings. Several of my friends are struggling to find new employment after suffering layoffs.

@cybervegan @PhoenixSerenity I started applying for a job with a competitor a few years ago but closed the browser when I saw the form had a required field for a LinkedIn profile. I tried entering “I do not have a LinkedIn account" but it demanded a live URL.

Oh well, your loss, idiots. I would not want to work for such people.
