While working with students yesterday and discussing the current state of gasoline prices, we did a distance check for most of my driving requirements (home, school, work). Almost all of my driving is within 5 miles.

They then began shaming me (with good humor) into why I didn't have an e-bike for this transit. I didn't have a good response other than to make "vroom-vroom screeetch" noises like I was driving my car on a race track.

@seanwbruno I used to live 5 miles from the HS where I taught. As long as it was above 45⁰ F I would bike to school. Fortunately, there were very good bike paths that connected my neighborhood to close by the HS. I also was in great shape and lost weight. My wife now wants me to get back down to that weight because she doesn't like my retirement bod. lol
