GitHub is the next company to choose to opt you into having your data used - by default. 🚩

Opt out in Settings --> Copilot --> Features.

Under "Allow GitHub to use my data for AI model training" -→ Disabled.

It recently announced that if you do not opt out before April 24th, it will use your interaction data when using Copilot.

I went one further: deleted my GitHub account. I was keeping it for visibility, but as I'm no longer a developer,at as well not give them the satisfaction.

Also, just to stick two fingers up, changed all the lines of text and code with the word "slop" just to poison their training data 😆
