Yesterday we read,
Sister is at university, her dissertation is in Google Docs, whole family locked out.

Today a user deleted his document folder.
He has no backup of important work.
Is on Linux, if nothing has been written he might be able to recover most or all docs.

It will cost him massive stress and time, maybe a lot of money for a professional and no warranty for success.

@Kerplunk By way of comparison, Robin Milner, a great mathematician and computer scientist who died recently. He never completed his phud. The story he s#told me and many others is that in hols his manuscript blew into the water and he could not be arsed to do a rewrite
