You never heard of the Brutalist Easter Bunny in Jyvรคskylรค, Finland? Me too, so here you go.

Scary!

@Natasha_Jay haha it seems to be placed at Pupuhuhta school yard - Pupupuhta means approx "Bunny meadow" and the sculpture is meant as something that kids can climb on. It's called "Bunny granny and her jolly bowed legs" (impossible to translate the pun)
@karhutar @Natasha_Jay hello teacher tell me whatโ€™s my lesson? Looked right through me. Looked right through me.
@karhutar
Honestly, it looks like it will eat them and spit out the bones
@Natasha_Jay yes, it's hideous, never heard of it before
@karhutar @Natasha_Jay
But seeing it as scary is an adult view. As a child, I would have loved climbing on it. I remember wooden alternatives from my youth, when we were always afraid of wood splinters.
(Calling it a Monster would be a bonus, btw ๐Ÿ˜‰)
Only the solid socket is stupid and should be sand for soft landings.

@karhutar @Natasha_Jay Do you know the artist's name? I'd love a giant scary bunny for my yard.

My neighbor has giant dinosaurs. It's tough to keep up with the Jones around here.

@astronot @Natasha_Jay the article says the artist is Helmer Selin, but note that the work was finished 1982.
@astronot @Natasha_Jay the owner of the statue seems to be the city of Jyvรคskylรค, I think they wouldn't hesitate to sell it... it must be a public danger by now

@karhutar @Natasha_Jay i think shipping may be an issue.

Thank you for the information

@astronot @Natasha_Jay they are taking leaking toilets to the moon, so why not one concrete bunny to somewhere else
