Am I incorrect, but isn’t LinkedIn fairly useless as a site for finding new employment? From what I’ve read of it, it has devolved into just another mediocre social network with the full assortment of trolls, spammers and con-men.
It’s been the main channel for legitimate recruiters finding me over the past couple decades, too.
It works best if you don’t engage in the “social media” part and just use it to passively advertise yourself.

I have literally never seen the social media side, but there is plenty on LinkedInLunatics. I have found multiple jobs with it though.

My question is how. Am I too naive to believe that the browser would stop a webpage from crawling your computer?
And I would be very surprised if their crawler manages to somehow work on Linux…
It looks like the attack only works on Chrome (or Chrome based browsers).
They have 2 methods for figuring out which extensions are used: asking the browser for files related to each of the 6000+ extensions they scan for, and checking the DOM for injected content
But that doesn’t mean that Firefox couldn’t be targeted in the future.
A good way to protect yourself is to use uBlock Origin or something similar, which will block the collected data from getting sent to LinkedIn

I have never gotten a serious job in this way. It has always been word of mouth after suffering for a bit. Big tech is a scam… cyber security is a corpo buzzword. Big tech shake down. Big tech is the virus. Capitalism is the virus. They create the problem then they create the solution. It feeds itself to justify itself. They make it harder for you to opt out and they want to dumb you down. There is a judas in every group. Tech is not fun but a prision. I want to understand the cyber world because it understands me. I see it as a threat. Boomer politicians can’t figure out a PDF and they love money. It is a trojan horse… yet a slow moving train and I saw this from 100 miles away. All the techoptimist techno_tu_Rd$ and their cheap tricks. I grow stronger everyday. I was always right and I guess I just wanted to put it out there just incase there are others out here like me. Some will create excuses… I will not humor them anymore.
Find a old beater computer install linux use a appimage for the browser? Maybe non israel owned VPN to spoof location… maybe a VPN router. I got a few wrt routers for like $40 bucks. They are killing people with this tech. Even if you don’t care about muslims the pendulum swings and this shows how we all are in danger with corpo techno cyber security slavery.
