imo solo dev has always been the answer to gatekeeping. if you learn to make everything on your own, if you are completely independent and self sufficient… you bypass social dynamics that have the power to exclude or single you out.
if you do everything on your own, nobody can stop you!
@alienmelon I used to feel insecure about not having any coworkers to check my work and make sure I don't go off the rails.
But lately I'm more grateful I can forge my own path, make my own decisions and not have to take into account the opinions of people whose values wildly differ from my own.
I'm glad I don't have to work with AI-pilled people, is what I'm saying.
