Afghanistan 🇦🇫The National Mine Action Coordination Centre has stated that Kabul city still faces the threat of landmines and unexploded ordnance.
The centre said that more than 7,000 square meters of land in Kabul city's 11th district have been cleared of landmines and unexploded ordnance, and 323 unexploded items have been discovered and destroyed.
The United Nations Mine Action Service stated that Afghanistan is among the three countries in the world with the highest casualties due to landmines and unexploded ordnance, with 80 percent of the victims being children.
